NYC - Day 3

Ah, my last day in NYC. After celebrating New Year's Even in Times Square, it was my brilliant idea to wake up at 6am to head down to the Today Show and see if we could get on TV. So, we bundled up...

Yes, that says 14 degrees!
We passed St. Patrick's Cathedral on the way.

The Rockefeller Christmas Tree!

We made it to the Today Show! But wait...why isn't there anyone outside???

Or inside??? Oh that's right...they taped the show because it was a holiday and Al Rocker was in Pasadena hosting the Rose Parade. We were bummed! Katie and Jason were a little upset that I got them out of bed so early for nothing :(

So instead, we walked around Times Square again to see what we couldn't quite see the night before. The cool thing was, it was completely empty! And THAT is rare.
And we did a little souvenier shopping

Then we went back to the scene of the crime and Katie and Jason reenacted waiting for the ball to drop in the same spot we stood the night before.

And I just had to see where the Late Show was taped!

That night we went out to celebrate the end of my trip. We went out to a couple bars in Midtown and the East Village. It was a great night and a wonderful way to end my first NYC visit!!
