Blossoms
My Gramma used to tell us a story about my Dad as a little boy. One morning, he went out to the backyard and saw that a tree had bloomed. He ran back inside and said "Mother! You have to come and see what God did overnight!" She loved that story and I always thought it was cute. I was reminded of it last week when I drove out of my garage and saw that all of the cherry trees in my complex had literally bloomed overnight. It was winter the night before, and spring the next morning. I love it!

Cabo
I've finally gotten around to getting all my pictures together from Cabo. After looking at these, I'm sure you can imagine how difficult it was to come home.
View from our room at the Hilton

Happy to be on vacation!
The infinity pool where we spent hours each day
Each day we had a little towel creature from the housekeeping chicas. This was a sea turtle!
Mmmmm...and I had the chicken fajitas. My mouth is watering just remembering them.

It's very difficult to concentrate on work today because this is sitting on a conference table five feet from my desk.

I'm trying to be strong, yet I feel like "today is one if those days....."
Ugh, I think it might have chocolate chunks in it. I hope I'm not fighting a losing battle.

A Couple's First Dance
I just got back from a five day trip to Cabo where Dan was the best man in his friend's wedding. More details on the trip to come, but first...I thought I'd share with you a video of the couple's first dance. The bride and a few of the groomsmen put together a surprise for the guests. Enjoy!

Christmas 1991
What was Christmas like as an 11 year old? This email from my sister this morning reminded me:
OMG, I was watching a couple home movies last night and laughed my butt off at how awkward we looked when we were younger. I was watching one from Christmas 1991 and we were so ecstatic because we got new sweats. We're like "oooh yes! Look at the colors! They're exactly what I wanted!" And then I'm hugging Mom and Dad saying "thank you" after each gift and you're off on the side thinking "give me more presents." Then Dad says "why is it that the only time my name is on a present, it says FROM Michael?" That was really funny. Then, we're done opening gifts and when the camera turns back on, we're dressed in our brand new sweats playing a game, and Michael Bolton is blaring on the stereo.
